Keswick and District Fairtrade Campaign
A message from Keswick and District Fairtrade Campaign...
I am writing just to remind you, should you need reminding, of what you can do to help Fairtrade producers this Christmas. On December 1st the Campaign will be sharing a stall at the [Keswick] Victorian Fayre with Fairtrade Campaigners from Caldbeck. Many of you will have visited the Fair World Shop in Caldbeck. This tiny shop is a treasure trove of Fairtrade and fairly traded products. These range from delightful wooden toys, bags, jewellery and gifts for the home, through chocolate, tea and coffee and dried fruits and cereals to cleaning materials and gardening gloves. Campaigners from Caldbeck will be supplying the stall with goods from the shop. Please do come and see if there is anything on the stall you might wish to buy as a Christmas present for others -or yourself!
Then on Saturday 7th December from 10am until 2pm the Campaign will have a table just inside Booths Supermarket where there will be a display of Fairtrade produce available to buy in Booths. This will include a variety of chocolate and coffee and also some excellent wine.
The Fair Trade Campaign now has a table at the plastic-free market which takes place in Southey Street Methodist Church once a month. We display Fairtrade goods which are available in Booths and in Lakes and Dales, with ideas about how they can also be part of your Christmas decoration. Bernadette Fagan from Keswick Fair Trade Campaign has created a nativity scene for Fairtrade which is now on show at Cotswold in Keswick.
Finally the Fair Trade campaign has now moved into social media: on twitter at https://twitter.com/FairtradeK and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/FairtradeK/ Wishing you a happy Christmas and a year that brings joy.
